Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew held a significant discussion with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his team on Thursday night in Jamaica.
The leaders spoke candidly about the shifting global landscape and the implications for small states in a changing geopolitical environment.
Dr. Drew emphasized the importance of a strong and united CARICOM, saying face-to-face dialogue with regional colleagues is key to navigating global challenges.
He added that, despite evolving power dynamics, the goal remains clear: ensuring that Caribbean nations “land firmly on their feet” in the new world order.
Dr Drew is the Chairman of CARICOM and the meeting came just days before the 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM from 24-27 February in St Kitts and Nevis.
