Australia’s Perth Scorchers have officially confirmed their participation in the upcoming ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League, adding another high-profile team to the international T20 tournament.

The Scorchers, one of the most successful franchises in the Big Bash League, will compete in the event hosted in Guyana, which brings together champion teams from across the cricketing world. Organisers say the tournament aims to showcase elite franchise talent while strengthening cricket’s global reach.

Chairman Sir Clive Lloyd welcomed the Australian side, saying the Scorchers’ professionalism, leadership and winning tradition align with the vision of the competition and will help boost its global appeal.

The team will compete as the Perth Scorchers XI and will become the third Australian side to take part in the tournament, joining previous participants Cricket Victoria and the Hobart Hurricanes.

Western Australia Cricket CEO John Stephenson said the franchise is excited to showcase its talent on the international stage.
