Parts of the US east coast are bracing for Hurricane Erin, which remains a large category two system.
The National Hurricane Centre says maximum sustained winds are near 165 km/h, with fluctuations in strength possible over the next few days.
It adds that Erin is a large system, with hurricane-force winds extending outward up to 130 km.
Various warnings and watches have been issued for parts of North Carolina, and Virginia.
Meanwhile, warnings and watches have been discontinued for the Turks & Caicos Islands and parts of the Bahamas.

- Cape Lookout to Duck, North Carolina
A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for:
- Beaufort Inlet to Duck, North Carolina
A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for:
- North of Duck, North Carolina to Cape Charles Light, Virginia
Interests in Bermuda, the U.S Mid-Atlantic coast, and the southern New England coast are also being advised to monitor Erin’s progress.
