Young local innovators will advance their knowledge of advanced robotics, as NIHERST AND Shell launches the FIRST Tech Challenge pilot season, themed “Decode,” in January 2026.

The international robotics competition challenges students aged 12 to 18 to design, build, and program robots.

Local participants, who previously took part in the FIRST LEGO League, will tackle real-world engineering challenges and connect with a global network of young innovators.

The event will also feature a robotics showcase and a global Q&A, giving students a chance to share ideas and learn from experts around the world.
