San Fernando West MP Dr Michael Dowlath says measures are being taken to safeguard all users of Skinner Park, following a shooting and robbery yesterday.
Dr Dowlath told 103.1FM News today he will work to ensure regular police patrols are conducted, given the increased activity in and around the park and the potential for risks.
Yesterday morning, a couple was robbed of cash, bank cards, a cellphone and other valuables at which time, both victims were shot in their legs during a struggle.
