The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services has delivered nearly $98,500 in relief to families affected by recent severe weather in the Sangre Grande region.
On Monday, 14 households and 55 individuals received assistance at Coryal Secondary School, including household items valued at $88,500 and clothing grants of $10,000.
Minister Vandana Mohit said the exercise demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to swift, compassionate support, ensuring families regain stability after losing essential items.
MP Shivanna Sam also praised residents for their resilience, while Ministry staff were commended for their dedication.
The Ministry reaffirmed its promise to remain close to communities before, during, and after emergencies.
