Defence Minister Wayne Sturge says any attack on a member of the nation’s security services is a matter of serious concern.
This follows the killing of Defence Force soldier Jaelani Garcia Williams of Balmoral Park, Edinburgh on Saturday night, in Edinburg 500.
Video footage shows the victim being shot several times around 9:40PM, by two gunmen, who then fled the scene on foot.
Minister Sturge says he has been briefed and is in direct contact with Defence Force leadership, as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
