Foreign Affairs Minister Sean Sobers highlighted regional collaboration at the Association of Caribbean States Forum earlier today at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Minister Sobers described the forum as a valuable space for dialogue and sustainable development, noting that the Caribbean’s unique comparative advantages provide opportunities for regional growth.

He highlighted priority projects, including Sargassum management and mangrove restoration, which directly benefit the environment, public health, and economic activities such as fisheries and coastal tourism.

Sobers also emphasized the economic and cultural value of heritage tourism and the potential of short-sea shipping to boost intraregional trade.

He affirmed Trinidad’s commitment to initiatives that strengthen regional collaboration, integration, and sustainable development, ensuring a lasting impact across all member states.
