Minister of the People, Vandana Mohit, is deeply concerned with recent reports of violence against women across the country.

She says these are a stark reminder that gender-based and domestic violence are not isolated occurrences, but urgent and persistent social challenges that demand sustained, collective action.

Ms Mohit says her Ministry remains firmly committed to addressing gender-based violence and its root causes with compassion, urgency and strategic focus.

She adds that Government has implemented a comprehensive, coordinated response to GBV as a national priority.

Central to this effort is T&T’s National Strategic Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Violence, a framework guiding prevention, protection and accountability across sectors.
