The Minister of Health says the number of dengue cases in the country, as of July this year are far lower than last year, including the number of deaths.
He says his Ministry is collaborating with the Ministry of Local Government to ensure dengue and other vector-borne diseases are controlled, and to make it clear which agency deals with spraying, fogging and the cutting of grass, etc.
Following the CEPEP restructure, Dr. Lackram Bodoe says the Local Government Ministry is looking at how that gap can be closed.
Meanwhile, speaking with the media yesterday, Dr. Bodoe said he was looking closely at the issue of covid19 and whether or not cases were increasing.
He said later this week they may have something more to say on that, but at this time, a report was being compiled for him in terms of numbers.
