The result of an independent autopsy has revealed additional information for the cause of death of 6-year-old Jasher Francois.
According the Trinidad Express, the autopsy report findings suggest the young child experienced a sudden and severe heart problem while receiving intravenous medication.
Pathologist Professor Hubert Daisley reported this was likely to have caused his heart to fail in pumping enough blood which damaged his kidneys and led to swelling of the brain from lack of oxygen.
His report also noted that Jasher had aspiration pneumonitis, as was reported in the preliminary autopsy report.
Yesterday, the young child’s father, Aaron Francois, said the finding of the second autopsy had “vindicated his initial without a shadow of a doubt.”
