T&T women vs Jamaica

Members of the Jamaica national women’s football team and technical staff are set to stay in Trinidad until at least Friday.

Jamaica women beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 last night in Couva and were due to depart for home today.

However, with the passage of Hurricane Melissa, the Jamaica based players and staff will have to wait until they are allowed to travel home.

Jamaica head coach Herbert Busby Jr said his team’s thoughts and prayers are with their countrymen.

“Stay safe and stay strong,” he said after the game, “We’re going through a lot right now and credit to the players—and all of us who are impacted by what it going on. We want to say our prayers for everybody and we hope that everyone is safe.”
