New Zealand took control of the 1st Test against West Indies has they took a 96-run lead at the end of the second day of play.

After bowling out of New Zealand for 231, Jacob Duffy took 5 for 34 to bowl out West Indies for 167.

Shai Hope scored 56 and Tagenarine Chanderpaul 52 for the West Indies.

New Zealand closed on 32 without loss and has extended their lead by 96 with all their second innings wickets standing.
