Debate on the Home Invasion Bill begins in the House of Representatives this afternoon, led by Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander.
The Prime Minister today said the legislation will empower citizens to legally defend themselves and their loved ones against what she called “the frightening scourge of home invasions.”
She says the bill reinforces the government’s commitment to public safety, personal dignity, and the right to feel secure in one’s own home.
The Prime Minister also thanked the Attorney General for his work in preparing the legislation.
