Heavy rains in the Tri-state area flooded multiple New York City subway lines yesterday, causing many commuters to remain stranded late into Monday evening.
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, some subway services were temporarily suspended, while other lines were running with severe delays.
At the height of yesterday’s rains, floods suspended service on the 1, 2, 3, E, F, M and R lines.
Most flash flood watches and warnings expired in parts of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania as the rain moved on, but some roads and streets were still flooded as of this morning.
