Health Minister Dr Lackram Bodoe says reducing wait times and enhancing customer service delivery remain high-priority areas for health sector reform.
This reassurance came as the Minister today conducted an unannounced walk-through assessment of the Adult Accident and Emergency Department at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
He was joined by Chairman of the North Central Regional Health Authority, Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, and representatives of the multidisciplinary team working within the department.
During the visit, Minister Bodoe evaluated both operational systems and patient-centred services with the objective of improving efficiency and patient outcomes.
The Minister also visited the nearby St. Joseph Enhanced Health Centre, where he met with staff and patients.
