Government is trying to find a quick solution to help alleviate the problems caused by having virtual courtrooms at police stations.
Justice Minister Devesh Maharaj says officers are very inconvenienced by a lot of their space being taken up with computers in the virtual room.
Yesterday, Mr. Maharaj, along with Minister Roger Alexander visited the Besson Street police station to understand, firsthand, the issue.
There, he said at least four to five rooms were unusable due to the virtual courtroom, including the ID parade room.
He says they have to visit the Port of Spain Magistrate’s Court to see if they can facilitate a possible solution to the matter.
