Government ministers visited one of Trinidad and Tobago’s key energy sites this week.
Energy Minister Dr. Roodal Moonilal, Minister in the Ministry Ernesto Kesar, and senior officials toured the Yara-TRINGEN Complex at Savonetta, Point Lisas on Wednesday.
The ministers met with executives and staff of Yara Trinidad and the Trinidad Nitrogen Company Limited to discuss energy security, public-private partnerships, and TRINGEN’s contribution to the national economy.
Minister Moonilal praised employees for their decades of service, while Minister Kesar congratulated them on a strong year of safe operations.
The visit concluded at the company’s Deep Water Port Terminal, where the vessel Yara Freya was being loaded with ammonia for export.
Yara-TRINGEN is a joint venture between National Enterprises Limited and Yara Caribbean, operating two major ammonia plants at Point Lisas.
