The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has confirmed plans to complete repairs and reopen the UWI South Debe Campus.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has long prioritized the campus to support academic and economic growth in rural Trinidad.
After a decade of neglect under the former administration, Palo Seco Agricultural Enterprise Limited has been tasked with carrying out major repairs.
Rehabilitation work is set to begin shortly, with infrastructure upgrades aimed at readying the campus for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Minister Saddam Hosein emphasized that all parties are committed to completing the project promptly and delivering a fully functional facility for students and staff.
