Former Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has accused the Government of undermining this country’s international standing by abandoning its traditional position of non-alignment.
During a two hour long sit down with members of the media today, Dr Rowley shared his thoughts on a range of issues relating to the performance of the current administration.
He was particularly critical of its approach to foreign policy.
Dr Rowley also believes the Prime Minister’s support for US strikes on vessels in the region is an endorsement of extra-judicial killings.
And according to him, this can lead to much worse.
Dr. Rowley also hit back at the Prime Minister’s recent allegation that drug money was used to build Balisier House.
He insists the PNM raised funds over a 15-year period and also earned money by renting out its car park, via contributions from members and through barbecue fundraisers.
He proceeded to use a derogatory term to refer to the Prime Minister, as he accused her of making serious allegations without evidence.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is yet to respond to the criticism and claims levelled by Dr Rowley.
