Floodwaters in Claxton Bay have subsided.
However, three homes along Laloo Trace have been affected by floods, which caused damages to appliances and furniture.
Chairman of the Couva-Tabaquite-Talparo Regional Corporation, Ryan Rampersad, confirmed this with 103.1FM News this afternoon.
He added that the Corporation’s Disaster Management Unit is on the ground delivering relief supplies inclusive of mattresses.
Mr Rampersad explained that the flooding was due to a sudden downpour that overwhelmed drainage systems, not river overflow.
