The Energy Chamber has reaffirmed its commitment to work with all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the sector.

This comes after the Prime Minister criticized the Chamber and withdrew Government support and state company participation from the annual Safe To Work programme.

Today, at the start of this year’s event, Chairperson Mala Baliraj said the Chamber will review and reform the programme, while keeping safety standards high.

She also denied claims that the Chamber is dominated by multinationals, and promised a governance review to ensure fair representation of all members.

Ms Baliraj emphasized that the main purpose of the conference is to bring all energy industry players together to discuss shared challenges, find ways to collaborate, and build networks and opportunities.
