Michael Ballantine, 86, who went missing from his home on Poonah Road, Williamsville, has been found alive after an overnight search.

Members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Vallence Rambharat, and family members discovered Ballantine lying in bushes approximately 600 metres from his home at around 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Rambharat said the elderly man, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was dehydrated but unharmed.

Ballantine had left his home Tuesday afternoon, and relatives feared he may have been confused or disoriented.

Family members have since increased security measures to ensure his safety.

Meanwhile, authorities are appealing for help locating 33-year-old Kia Greenidge, last seen March 6 in Lot Ten Village, Guapo.

She was wearing a light blue nightgown and had two bags of clothing. Anyone with information is urged to contact local police.
