Communications coach Denise Demming is criticising the Government for what she describes as a persistent lack of transparency and meaningful communication during its first seven months in office.

Demming says several major decisions appear rushed, unclear, and made without proper consultation with citizens.

She pointed to the ongoing Tobago radar issue, noting that shifting explanations from the Prime Minister have damaged public trust.

Demming also highlighted sudden noise-pollution restrictions affecting cultural events, as well as the unexpected withdrawal of state sponsorship from steelbands—moves she says blindsided key stakeholders.

According to Demming, good governance requires open communication, honest leadership, and real engagement with the public—and she’s urging the Government to change course.
