A decomposing body was discovered on Sunday morning behind the Diego Martin Borough Corporation’s compound on Ken Valley Drive, Westvale.
Security personnel reported a foul odor coming from the back drain area of the premises and upon investigation, the body was found in a concealed section of the drain, near the back of the Corporation’s buildings.
Municipal Police, along with officers from the TTPS, responded and saw the remains, which were in an advanced state of decomposition.
A national ID card belonging to Lorenzo Lawrence Husbands and an envelope containing $400 was found with the body.
The area was cordoned off as forensic teams and the District Medical Officer conducted investigations.
