Faris Al-Rawi is claiming that critical material starkly relevant to CEPEP’s extension of over 300 contracts was not disclosed during the hearing.
The former Local Government Minister comments came after the High Court ruled that the matter be forwarded to the DPP for probe into allegations of fraud.
Among the material listed was a “valid and undisturbed 2017 cabinet note from the Ministry of Finance which, among other things, authorises Cepep to terminate, suspend and hire contractors.
Mr Al-Rawi said that any proper investigation into the matter is welcomed.
