Chairman of T&T National Gas Limited, Gerald Ramdeen says ongoing negotiations with Nutrien could soon see gains for Trinidad and Tobago.
At a media conference yesterday, he disclosed that talks are now at a critical and sensitive stage, with a non-disclosure agreement signed earlier this week to move discussions forward.
Mr Ramdeen said the negotiations are expected to bring significant benefits to the country, as TTNGL continues its efforts to improve local natural gas supply.
Last October, Nutrien announced the shutdown of its Trinidad nitrogen operations, citing gas shortages and port access issues, but said it remains engaged with stakeholders to reviews options.
