It was a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” for students and teachers of the Lochmaben Roman Catholic School in Cedros, who toured the USS Gravely in Port of Spain today.
This visit, by 35 students and 15 teachers, follows recent infrastructure upgrades and donations of educational materials from US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) to the school.
The tour was part of the ongoing partnership between the US and T&T, including joint training efforts with the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force.
U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Dr. Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz, called the tour a celebration of the strong ties between the two nations.
