CDEMA activates regional centre as Hurricane Melissa makes landfall

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency has activated the Regional Coordinating Centre in response to Hurricane Melissa.

Staff, of the regional inter-governmental agency for disaster management in CARICOM, has been deployed to manage coordination, communication, and response efforts across the region.

Working with regional and international partners, CDEMA is providing urgent support to the affected participating states.

Teams are focused on delivering swift assistance as the storm continues to impact the region.
