CARICOM has deployed an eleven-member Election Observation Mission to Saint Lucia ahead of that country’s December 1st General Election.
The team includes senior electoral officials from nine CARICOM nations, supported by two officers from the CARICOM Secretariat handling logistics and administration.
The Mission is being led by Ian S. Hughes, Supervisor of Elections for Antigua and Barbuda, who will oversee the group’s work on the ground.
CARICOM says the initiative underscores its commitment to strengthening democratic processes and ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections across the region.
