The body of Pete Phillip remains missing at sea, following the collapse of Rig 110 on December 22nd last year.
The rig was operated by Well Services, which today informed 103.1FM News that it is awaiting feedback from the Environmental Management Authority to continue its investigations and recovery of the body.
Earlier this year, the location of Phillip’s remains was identified, however the company said diver retrieval was too dangerous.
A third party was hired to supply specialized equipment and the requisite expertise for the salvage and recovery for this type of operation.
