A strong 7.5-magnitude earthquake shook north-eastern Japan earlier today, leading to the evacuation of around 90,000 residents.
The quake, which struck at 11:15PM local time, triggered tsunami warnings for the northeastern coast, with waves potentially reaching up to 10 feet.
According to Reuters, the epicenter was located 80 kilometers off the coast of Aomori prefecture at a depth of 54 kilometers.
