Zenith Athletics Club co-founder Wade Franklyn has died.

Affectionately known as “Baby,” Franklyn was hailed as a mentor, a guide and a steady source of encouragement that changed lives on and off the track.

“His legacy of discipline, compassion, and unwavering belief in young people will live on in the spirit of our club and in the countless lives he helped shape,” a club statement shared on Facebook stated.

“He nurtured hearts as much as he nurtured talent, leaving an unforgettable impact on every athlete and family he touched.

The Zenith Club has produced the likes of Renny Quow, Kelly Ann Baptiste, and Semoy Hackett.

In addition, former javelin throwers Tariq Horsford and Asha James, and rising middle distance star Oshea Cummings were unearthed by Zenith.
