Former Energy Minister Stuart Young claims the Government has already withdrawn US$1 billion in the past five months.
He made the announcement during an Opposition media conference today.
Mr Young added that sources from two major banks reported no increase in US dollar supply and cautioned about the significant drop in foreign reserves and import covers.
He said if it continues in this way, the country could be forced to seek assistance from the International Monetary Fund.
