63-year-old Vishnu Lalla, who was kidnapped on Saturday evening, has been found dead, near Brechin Castle in Couva.
This was confirmed by Captain Vallance Rambharat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team last evening.
According to reports, Mr Lalla, of Windsor Park in California, was abducted shortly before 7PM on Saturday, following this, a $100,000 ransom was demanded for his release.
According to a Guardian Media report, police later found his burnt van at George Street, Esperanza, California.
