Former West Indies captain Courtney Walsh has opened a new restaurant in Guyana.

The restaurant, 519 Guyana was opened at the new AC Marriot at Ogle, East Coast Demerara.

Walsh is the Brand Ambassador and owner of the 519 restaurant chain, which also has a branch in south Trinidad.

The 519 brand was inspired by Walsh’s 519 Test wickets, which was at one time the world record.

Walsh was the first bowler to reach 500 Test wickets, and held the record for the most wickets from 2000 to 2004.

The former West Indies player played 132 Tests, forming a lethal partnership with Sir Curtly Ambrose.
