WASA says water samples collected from a hole on a property in Gandhi Village is not potable treated supply water.
It comes as part of investigations to determine the source of water that has been undermining a home in the area for the past decade.
A statement on social media states that water from the hole tested contaminated, while independent samples taken from the WASA main line met WHO drinking water quality standards.
The Authority says the results are now guiding the next phase of technical investigations as it works to identify the source and move toward a permanent resolution.
