US$92.7 million investment for Barbados from Saudi Fund

Barbados will benefit from a near US$92.7 million loan by the Saudi Fund for Development.

Barbados Today reported that Prime Minister Mia Mottley welcomed the funding which will be used for the healthcare and urban infrastructure sectors.

The first loan, worth US$58.5 million, will fund the construction of new health centres and major refurbishments at seven existing health centres.

The second loan of US$34.2 million will finance the urban renewal initiative, targeting housing, water, and infrastructure upgrades in inner-city areas.
