The US will make a proposal to the United Nations Security Council to send a security mission to Haiti.
The primary objective will be to combat the criminal organizations that now control more than 80% of the county.
The planned proposal comes as the leader of Viv Ansanm, one of the most powerful criminal coalitions, threatened to overthrow Haiti’s interim government by force, if the Transitional Presidential Council did not resign.
