The United States Department of State will designate Venezuela’s Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, effective November 24, 2025.
The Department says the cartel is headed by high-ranking officials in Venezuela and has been linked to terrorist violence across the Americas and the trafficking of drugs into the US and Europe.
The State Department says this move aims to deny funding and resources to narco-terrorists and protect American national security.
