The US Embassy has released additional details on two citizen fugitives who were deported last week.
Tevin and Zakiya Williams were extradited to the US on August 22nd, to face federal charges for drug trafficking and failure to appear in court.
Both were charged in California and New York in September 2023, but after being granted a pre-trial release, they fled to T&T, leading the US Marshals Service to issue warrants for their arrests.
Close cooperation between US and local authorities led to their arrest on August 19th at a house in La Romaine.
