The United States officially assumed the 2026 Presidency of the G20 today, December 1st.

In a statement, Washington said that under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the G20 will return to its core focus—boosting global economic growth and prosperity.

The U.S. outlined three major priorities for its term: reducing regulatory burdens to spur economic expansion, strengthening affordable and secure energy supply chains, and advancing new technologies and innovation.

America will host the 2026 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Miami, coinciding with the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
