Two women have appeared in Scarborough Magistrates’ Court charged with stealing groceries from a local supermarket.
After pleading guilty, both were each fined $1,200, ordered to complete 100 hours of community service, and placed under probation for 18 months.
Police said the incident, reported on January 26th, involved a supermarket employee allegedly helping a shopper take items without paying.
The women were later arrested and charged.
