Two new Puisne Judges have officially taken up office in Trinidad and Tobago.
Her Excellency President Christine Carla Kangaloo administered the Oath of Office to Mr Justice Vigel Paul and Madame Justice Danielle Thompson this morning at a ceremony held at President’s House.
The swearing-in took place at ten-thirty and was attended by the Honourable Chief Justice, Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh, along with other members of the judiciary.
The appointments strengthen the High Court bench as the judiciary continues efforts to improve the administration of justice and reduce case backlogs.
Mr Justice Paul and Madame Justice Thompson now assume their judicial duties following today’s formal ceremony.
