A 40-year-old Debe woman is expected to be charged, after a high-powered rifle and ammunition was allegedly found in her home.
On Tuesday, police officers searched a house in Latchoos Road, Debe, where they found an AR-15 rifle and 23 rounds of ammunition, hidden in a speaker box in a storeroom.
Also on Tuesday, an 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of three rounds of .45 calibre ammunition, and one round of 5.56mm ammunition hidden inside a multi-colored sneaker.
The man was arrested and taken to the San Fernando Police Station where he is expected to the formally charged with possession of ammunition.
Police said they entered the premises under the authority of Section 12 of the Emergency Powers Regulations and conducted searches.
