The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has recorded a series of successful operations this week, resulting in the seizure of illegal firearms and the recovery of several stolen vehicles.

On Thursday, officers from the Coastal Support and Anti-Kidnapping Units executed a search warrant in Point Fortin, where they discovered a chrome and brown Colt .38 revolver with six rounds of ammunition.

A 50-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody.

In a separate incident, a stolen Nissan Sentra valued at $70,000 was recovered in Wallerfield, Arima, along with a police-issued bulletproof vest.

Police also intercepted a stolen Nissan AD Wagon in Tunapuna using GPS tracking technology. Additionally, four young men were arrested in Port of Spain during “Operation Steadfast” after officers found stolen registration plates in a Hyundai Elantra.

The TTPS says these operations reflect its continued commitment to reducing firearm crimes and vehicle theft across the country.
