T&TEC’s General Manager, Chrisalston Belle, will retire on August 31st, 2025.
Mr Belle has been with the Commission for 33 years, during which time he held several senior positions.
He is credited with introducing technological solutions to minimise outage time; the implementation of the Outage Management System; the Restore and Repair concept for responding to feeder trips and the use of Business Intelligence to aid with data analytics and improved decision making.
As Chief Technical Officer in 2023, he led the completion and Commissioning of the Union/ Gandhi 220kV circuit.
This takes electricity from Trinidad Generation Unlimited in La Brea, to the Gandhi Substation, where it is transmitted to the rest of the country.
According to T&TEC, Vijai Ramnanansingh, Area Manager- Distribution South, has been appointed to act as General Manager during the transition.
