A local team from T&TEC left for Jamaica this morning to assist that country with power restoration, following devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath greeted the workers at the airport this morning, offering words of encouragement.

In addition to residential areas, some hotels and tourism sites, as well as schools continue to be in darkness as teams work to restore power.
