Trinidad and Tobago won 35 medals at the CARIFTA Games this weekend in Grenada.
Local athletes won nine gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals, this country’s best performance at the annual track and field championships since 2010.
Trinidad and Tobago won 12 medals on the final day, including gold medals for discus thrower Jafari Shaw, 800m runner Kiile Alexander, heptathlete Tenille Vincent, and long jumper Michal Paul.
Head of the NAAATT Ephraim Serrette had predicted 30 medals for T&T at the championships.
