T&T has joined the global 50-in-5 campaign, a major international effort to develop Digital Public Infrastructure within five years.
The announcement was made by Public Administration and AI Minister, Dominic Smith, at the milestone event during the UN’s General Assembly yesterday.
The initiative aims to bring all government services online, boost efficiency, and build a fully digital nation.
Key projects include a National Digital ID, an e-Government portal, and a Digital Payment System.
T&T now joins countries like Singapore, Estonia, and Jamaica in this global push toward digital transformation, with a focus on inclusion, resilience, and sustainable development.
